Our Clients
Over the past fourteen years we have had the privilege of working with hundreds of different clients across the UK on a wide variety of assignments. We are proud of the fact that many of our clients choose to use us as their preferred consultancy company - something that we value highly and work very hard to retain. We are most often engaged at Board level by Chief Executives and Directors. However, the nature of much of our work means that in practice we work alongside managers, clinicians and other staff at all levels of the service.
Our client base is continually growing and diversifying. In response to new approaches to partnership, we have worked with Social Services and others in the social care field. We are also working on a number of projects with colleagues from the private sector. Similarly, in line with the NHS Plan, we are increasingly involved in ensuring that the wider public and users of services are appropriately involved in change and development. Our extensive portfolio means that our clients benefit from a depth of understanding and expertise about their specific problems and challenges as well as our thorough knowledge of the NHS as a whole. This allows us to deal effectively with the challenges they, and we, face in developing services.
Department of Health
An established track record with the Department of Health includes major service reviews (notably renal and cardiac) and implementation of the NHS Plan. We worked with Regional Offices on performance management, the development of regional clinical strategies and on the review of PFI schemes. We are working extensively with the Department of Health on the development of Foundation Trusts.
Commissioners and Providers of Acute Services
In acute care, our clients range from large teaching hospitals to small DGHs and specialist hospitals. We have tackled issues for a range of organisations, from national purchasers of specialist tertiary services to Strategic Health Authorities and PCT commissioners of local DGHs.
Commissioners and Providers of Primary Care and Community Services
We work with a broad spectrum of primary care clients - from organisational development work with just three GP practices in Derbyshire, to whole city development of PCTs in Sheffield and PCT configuration across Warwickshire and Gloucestershire.
Commissioners and Providers of Mental Health Services
We have many clients working in Mental Health services. Examples of our work here include supporting the implementation of the National Service Framework for Mental Health in Cornwall and the development of a Personality Disorder strategy for Leeds.
Commissioners and Providers of Social Care
Increasingly, our clients are involved in the provision and commissioning of social care. Our clients included ACER care, which provides social care for people with severe learning disabilities, and Wolverhampton Social Services who are developing closer partnership working with the NHS.
Private Sector Healthcare
We have private sector clients who are providers of healthcare services or who provide services to the NHS. We also advise on LIFT/PFI.
