Effective Partnership Working
Keeping in step with recent national developments, we are rapidly building an impressive portfolio of experience in the field of effective partnership working. The case study below describes the work we undertook in Gloucestershire, and illustrates the kind of issues and challenges we are helping people to face.
Building on our success in Gloucestershire, we began to work with health and social service colleagues in the London area. For example, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, we helped to develop plans to integrate mental health services using Section 31 of the 1999 Health Act. This work has led to a decision to create an integrated provider organisation as well as formal joint commissioning arrangements. Project management support for this was provided by Finnamore Management Consultants.
In the London Borough of Croydon, we provided project management for the development of a comprehensive suite of pooled budgets across the health and social care service spectrum.
A unique feature of our work in this area is our partnership with Bevan Britten, the law firm who have pioneered the drafting of robust and workable legal agreements. This approach ensures that the partnerships we are involved in are primarily driven by the needs of service users and carers and also satisfy all the legal requirements.
