David Brodin

David has led work in the development of clinical and support services, human resources and information strategies. He has initiated and led a process re-engineering programme in hospital services.
David has considerable experience of capital investment and has developed a number of business cases. These include whole-site redevelopments of teaching hospitals in Birmingham and London through the strategic outline case and outline business case stages; a specialty-based strategic outline case and outline business case for cardiac services; full business cases for adult mental health services (under PFI), breast screening services and NHS LIFT developments. David developed some of the first NHS LIFT strategic service development plans, in north and west London. He has also managed public procurement programmes.
David is a graduate of Manchester and Glasgow Universities. He has worked in a variety of NHS management roles. Prior to joining Finnamore Management Consultants in 1999, he was Director of Corporate Services in the Western General Hospitals NHS Trust, Edinburgh. David began his career in the NHS as a National Management Trainee, and has developed wide-ranging expertise in the management of people, resources and information. In addition David has an interest in economic and social regeneration issues and has been a Director of a training and employment company. He lectures to the MSc Health Management programme at Imperial College, University of London.
