David Chevins

David is a Director of Finnamore Management Consultants. His main areas of interest are strategy development, strategic service reviews, service line management, investment appraisal, programme and project management, performance improvement and financial management. He has directed and managed a wide range of assignments for clients in all parts of the NHS and in the private health sector.
David has over 30 years healthcare experience, both in the public and private sectors, as a management consultant, senior manager and non-executive director. Following 10 years in NHS finance, where he qualified as an accountant, he moved into the management consultancy sector where he has worked for the last 24 years This included setting up Secta in 1990 which grew into a leading specialist healthcare consulting business before being acquired in 2002 by Tribal Group plc. In 2004, David became Chief Executive of Tribal's consulting division, helping to create the largest public sector consulting business in the UK. Since leaving in the summer of 2006 to pursue other interests, David has worked as a programme director for Centres of Clinical Excellence (now Circle Health) and now for Finnamore Management Consultants.
