Gary Calderwood
BSc (Hons) MSc
Gary is a graduate of the University of Exeter and his first degree in Psychology. He also has a Masters degree in Quantitative Methods from the Institute of Psychiatry. He is a quantitative analyst with a passion and aptitude for using data. Over the years, Gary has developed his interests in the application of data to solve problems in ways that help clients get the answers they need. For example, Gary uses the presentation of quantitative information to lead clients to actionable conclusions.
During the 1990s, Gary spent eight years in a senior role at a market research agency. This role included management responsibilities and Gary acquired skills in team working, project management and communication. He was also able to develop a sound understanding of good client service and subsequently spent a year as an independent consultant. Gary's last post before joining Finnamore was Statistician for the County Councils' Network within the Local Government Association. His role involved supporting thirty six County and Unitary Authorities during a major national review of local government funding models.
Gary's style of consulting is based on providing an excellent service to clients. For example, he is able to help clients explore their own requirements, he maintains good communication at all stages of an assignment and he retains the flexibility required to adapt to changing client needs and changed circumstances. He is able to tailor his experience and expertise to suit individual requirements and always works to very high standards.
